  • Are Pets Allowed

    Yes — well-behaved pets are welcome, but they must remain on a leash at all times. Please remember that the festival can be crowded, noisy, and hot on pavement, so make sure your pup is comfortable in that environment.

    We also ask that owners clean up after their pets and be mindful of children, food areas, and vendor booths.

    Service animals are always allowed.

  • Is there an ATM on site?

    Yes there is an ATM on site located inside the pavilion. Some drinks and attractions are cash only.

  • Where to park or get a ride?

    Parking is free on nearby streets throughout the festival weekend. For even easier access, take advantage of our FREE shuttle service running Friday and Saturday from both East Creek Station and the Chaska Curling Center, courtesy of SouthWest Transit. Shuttles provide continuous pickups and drop-offs to help you get to and from the festival quickly and stress-free.

    For exact pickup times and route details, please check our website for the full shuttle schedule so you can plan your visit with ease.

  • Is handicap parking available?

    Chaska River City Days offers accessible (handicap) parking right near the event entrance at Lions Park. Use the main parking lot next to the playground.

  • Do you allow outside food and drink?

    Guests are NOT allowed to bring outside food or beverages. Please support our amazing local vendors they help sponsor the event and keep it free for the community! Water bottles are allowed inside the park.

  • Is there a cover charge for band or entrance?

    Chaska River City Days is totally free to attend, and there’s no cover charge for any of the bands or performances. Due to our amazing sponsors almost all activites in the kids zone are also free to watch.

Chaska River City Days Safety and Security Notice

Chaska River City Days is a community event designed to be a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Please take a moment to review the following safety and security guidelines to help ensure a positive experience for all attendees.

General Safety

  • Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to a security guard or police officer.

  • Do not leave your personal belongings unattended.

  • If you are walking alone, stick to well-lit areas.

  • If you feel unsafe at any time, please call 911.

Security Measures

  • There will be a visible security and police presence throughout the event grounds.

  • Security cameras will be in operation for your safety.

  • A designated lost and found area will be available at the pavilion in the center of the park.

  • A command post will be set up at the pavilion, where you can report any safety concerns or seek assistance.

Lost Children

  • If you become separated from your child, report it immediately to a security guard or police officer.

  • Lost children will be brought to the pavilion at the center of the park, which will serve as the reunification point.

Alcohol, Drugs, and Smoking

  • The consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited for anyone under the age of 21.

  • The use of illegal drugs and recreational marijuana (THC/Cannabis) is not allowed at the event.

  • All smoking—including tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, and vapes—is prohibited in public spaces in accordance with the City of Chaska ordinance adopted on March 17, 2025.

  • This includes all parks, trails, and event areas used for Chaska River City Days. Violations may result in fines.

  • If you witness someone who is intoxicated, using drugs, or smoking in a prohibited area, please notify a security guard or police officer.

Weather

  • In the event of inclement weather, the festival may be delayed or canceled for safety.

  • Check the Chaska River City Days website or social media channels for real-time weather updates and announcements.

Other Reminders

  • Please be respectful of other festival attendees and staff.

  • Help keep the park clean by using trash and recycling bins.

  • Most importantly—have fun and enjoy everything Chaska River City Days has to offer!

Additional Notes

City Smoking Ordinance

As of March 17, 2025, the City of Chaska prohibits all smoking in public spaces. This includes tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes, and vapes. The ordinance covers all city-owned or used property, including lions Park. Violations are considered petty misdemeanors and may be subject to fines.
